SPRING OPEN MORNING IN NEWTOWN

The 2016 MGS spring Open Morning will take place in the Area Library, Park Street, Newtown, SY16 1EJ.

We are pleased to announce that two new two volumes of Newtown Cemetery memorial inscriptions will be published on the day, together with the memorial inscriptions of Llanwnog Cemetery. The two Newtown volumes are particularly important as they complete our series of four volumes of inscriptions of what is the largest cemetery in Montgomeryshire.

As usual admission will be free and refreshments will be available. On this occasion, there will also be the opportunity for visitors to use the Library's new "Maldwyn Treasures" local studies room which opened in the autumn following a grant of £69,000 from CyMAL Museums, Archives and Libraries Wales.
